EVENT: Flexibility for Form and Function

In collaboration with the fabulous coaches at Yoga Therapies, this 5 part series will explore integrative and progressive patterns of movement to improve joint range and core coordination resulting in a more mobile, agile and resilient body.

Each session will consist of isolated progressions alongside full body routines that can be completed without equipment anywhere as both preparation for training, rehabilitation and body bullet-proofing. We will consider basic tissue preparation, breath liberation, nerve flossing and active flexibility.

The series is structured as a course, with each session presenting a key area of focus alongside its integration into full body patterns. Individual sessions can be attended as a stand alone event.

Series content:

1. Practices for freeing the neck, jaw and upper limbs.

2. Thoracic mobility and the waves of the breath.

3. The drivers of the hips, hamstrings and pelvic basin.

4. Foundations of the feet, ankles and knees.

5. Integration.



Session one takes place on Sunday 30th June 2019 at 9:00am to 10:00am.
