HEALth and Wellbeing
I’ve now got more than 20 years of experience as a coach, and have worked with people with all kinds of different abilities, goals and experience in a gym environment. My goal is always to try and make sessions feel challenging but achievable, progressive and unique to you and your abilities. I also want clients to develop confidence in the gym, to be aware of what they are capable of and how they are improving.

"MY APPROACH LEADS TO CLIENTS ACHIEVING LONG TERM & LASTING RESULTS"
After leaving university I realised that I wanted to work in a profession that I would be proud to do and that helping people was a great way to do that. I was always someone who enjoyed sport and exercise and decided to retrain as a personal trainer. My approach is a patient, relaxed one, one that tries to meet clients at their level, whether you're someone who has regularly trained for years or have never set foot in a gym, I can help you move towards your goal. I find this approach leads to my clients committing long term to their goals.
"My goal is always to try and make sessions feel challenging but achievable, progressive and unique to you and your abilities."
Over the years I’ve trained many different types of people, with a wide variety of goals including; Gain size and strength for a new job as a police officer, Lose weight for a wedding, Stay fit during and after pregnancy, Lose 37kg. Gain the confidence to lift weights alone. Train for various events such as the Great North and Run and Hyrox. Helping a client stay fit into his 80’s.
I love watching movies and critiquing them on “letterboxd”. Spending time with my wife and finding new places to eat is my favourite way to spend a weekend, whether it's a 3 course meal or a bakery for a cinnamon bun. Going to watch football at St James Park (when I can get a ticket) is always a priority too. Fitness wise I enjoy challenges such as marathons, Hyrox and other endurance events. I've usually got some kind of fitness event on the horizon.
